  I have visited Appetite for Books on 3 occasions, all for private cooking classes with a big group of friends/family. Each time, everyone in the group thoroughly enjoyed the experience and food. An excellent place to sit back, sip wine and watch as Jonathan cooks (and teaches) an elaborate yet humble and attainable at home feast. Beautiful bookstore with great local and international books. Highly recommend for the events or popping in to browse the excellent selection of cookbooks!

  One of the best cooking book library in Montreal. I think the one that tops this one is in NY. They give cooking classes and workshops.

  Oh, he had in stock two copies of a cookbook (Bird in the Hand) that was back order on Amazon and I needed them for the holidays.

  Just had dinner last night with an eclectic group of 9. Have been here many times since the opening about 10 years ago, although not in a while. Jonathan still maintains the same level of energy and engagement as he had on day 1. A great menu with unique combinations (beet humus, who would have thought?) and varied flavors was delivered with the usual deep knowledge, sharp wit and great stories. Always a pleasure to watch Jonathan cook and then enjoy the fruits of his labor.
